In the early 1990s, Dongfeng Motor Company launched EQ153 8-ton flathead diesel vehicle (referred to as “Ba Ping Chai”).

This truck was first developed by Dongfeng Company in 1989 and introduced into the market by Nissan Diesel technology.

It is one of the key products during the national “Eighth Five-Year Plan”.

It is also an example of the combination of Dongfeng Motor Company’s own design with the introduction of digestion and absorption of foreign technology.
