As a dangerous goods operation tool, the safety issue should be paid special attention to. The main causes of tank car fire are not conforming to the standard of oil loading equipment, equipment failure, oil leakage, electrostatic discharge and artificial misoperation.

To effectively avoid tanker accidents, we need to pay attention to the following aspects:

Electrostatic grounding cannot be ignored

From the point of view of tank cars, the main parts of static electricity are pumps, filters and pipelines. The static electricity generation of tank car filling system is much higher than that of surface pipeline.

Relevant information reflects: If you use a 250m long, 100mm diameter underground pipe to 2500L/min flow pumping oil, the amount of charge from the oil gun is generally only, and after the oil tank car charge is more than, these static electricity is mainly generated in the tank car filter, so if the tank car is not grounded on the loading and unloading operation, the tank can take more than 10kV voltage. 

Therefore, the following measures must be taken to prevent potential electrostatic hazards:

（1） Connect the grounding wire before loading oil, and often check whether its good condition and grounding resistance meet the anti-static standard.

（2） When filling oil, the crane pipe must be extended to the bottom of the tank, the pipe mouth should be kept at about 15cm from the bottom of the tank, and the initial filling speed should be strictly controlled within 1m/s, until the oil outlet is immersed, and then gradually increase the flow rate, but the maximum flow rate should not exceed 4.5m/s, in order to prevent the electrostatic accident caused by splashing;

（3） After oil loading, the grounding can be disconnected only after the oil is stabilized for 5 minutes. Because after loading the oil, because the oil in the tank flow, the oil surface potential to maintain for a few minutes.
